Gixo is for mobile devices running iOS or Android. A smartphone is the ideal device for using Gixo. iPads, iPods and other tablets/devices will have limited functionality due to the hardware.
For outdoor classes, you'll require a cellular data connection to stay connected to your coach on the move. Some devices such as iPods and some iPads/tablets do not have Cellular data chips, and will only work on WiFi.
Gixo uses GPS to track your speed and distance during running and walking segments. iPods/iPads and most tablets don't have a GPS chip, so Gixo won't work properly on these devices.
Please note that your mobile carrier’s normal messaging, data, and other rates and fees will apply to your use of the Mobile Services. In addition, downloading, installing, or using certain Mobile Services may be prohibited or restricted by your mobile carrier, and not all Mobile Services may work with all carriers or devices. Therefore, you are solely responsible for checking with your mobile carrier to determine if the Mobile Services are available for your mobile devices, what restrictions, if any, may be applicable to your use of the Mobile Services, and how much they will cost you.
