Our Gixo coaches are here to motivate and help you! To ensure our coaches can give you the best support they can message you, place voice call to you, and for a few minutes in each workout, you can both chat face-to-face over video.
At what points can the coach see and hear me?
Your phone camera automatically turns on for the class introduction (first 30-60 seconds) and during water breaks (30-60 second recovery periods throughout the workout). Your coach can only see you during these segments.
Your microphone is turned on during the class introduction, water breaks, and if you answer a call from the coach or another class participant during the class. Apart from the introduction and water breaks, your coach is unable to activate your microphone or camera without your approval (you need to select the 'answer call' button when your coach tries calling you).
Can I disable my camera and microphone?
Yes, If you don't want to accept calls from the coach or other class participants, you can disable them by tapping the settings button at the top left of the screen, during class. However, you will still need to take a check-in photo before each class, so the coach can put a face to the name!
Of course you can reach out to your coach anytime during the workout by sending them a message or even request they give you a voice call.
